Arshad Warsi On Doing Only Comedy Movies: 'Not Been Utilised Very Well, Wish People Would Take Advantage Of Me'
In movies like Golmaal, Hulchul, Dhamaal, Munna Bhai, you can't see the film without actor Arshad Warsi in it. Those films will look incomplete without him as people love his bang on comic timings in the films. However, the actor who is doing a serious sort of role in Durgamati, recently revealed that he is fed up with comic roles and feels that he has not been utilised very well as an actor. In a conversation with Mid-Day, he said that after a few comedies, he gets fed up and wants to do something serious.

He even said that the last interesting thing that he heard and did was Asur which opened doors for serious roles for him. The Jolly LLB actor then admits that he thinks he's under-utilised as an actor. "I've got way more than what I bargained for or asked for; what I came with and what I have now, there's a huge difference, so I've got more than what I'm due. But I do feel that I've not been utilised very well. I wish people would take advantage of me, use me for what I can bring to a film because I think I have a lot more to give than people have taken," he told the portal.

Talking about Durgamati coming to his way, he said, "I loved my character, loved what I'm playing. I was happy that someone offered me a non-comic role, for a change. I hug all the people who offer me non-funny roles. I'm very happy with them, I love them."

Durgamati starring Bhumi Pednekar is a conspiracy thriller. The film also stars Arshad Warsi, Jissu Sengupta, Mahie Gill. Helmed by Ashok G, the film is available on Amazon Prime Video.
